Continuous newscast loops offering nothing new, but surely noted by the next mass killer. Political groups and individuals seizing the opportunity, not to help, but to attack and gain advantage over their enemies. Note: not those who disagree about policy, but enemies. Those who stand to gain or lose power. These schoolchildren are only the most recent pawns in the ongoing political battle, not about guns, about office and power.
Not sure the schoolchildren are necessarily pawns. It is possible that they actually care about the people killed and would like to see something done. They may not have the best answers or have any clue about what will work, but who does? My favorite is Trump talking about prayer. Who wants to take odds the guy has not prayed since at least sometime in his childhood, and maybe not even then?
