The Bush Democracy Doctrine explained by Pundita

While I was preparing the second installment in my series on China—this time focussing on banking, it occurred to me that it would be prudent (not to mention entertaining) to see what Pundita had written on the subject. I took a little time to read through her archives and stumbled across a gem which I strongly recommend to you. In this post Pundita gives a good rule-of-thumb for understanding the Bush Democracy Doctrine: just take the No Child Left Behind Act and substitute “tyrant” whereever “child” appears. This simple step (along with a few other minor word substitutions) gives you the following (substitutions have been bolded):

Entertaining and enlightening. Read the whole thing.
