There are credible Democratic presidential aspirants and there are authentic Democratic presidential aspirants but there are no authentic, credible Democratic presidential aspirants.

Dave: I would like to know who you think is a credible Democratic Presidential aspirant. I sure can’t think of any.

  • What I mean in this context by “credible” is someone whom I can envision being elected and being a credible president. Joe Biden is a credible candidate. Elizabeth Warren might be a credible candidate. Cory Booker is a credible candidate. Andrew Yang is not a credible candidate but I think he is authentic.

Biden as President would be a puppet. Puppets are entertaining, but not when they would have as much power as this one would.
Warren wants to be tyrant, not President. Fortunately her first try at it, as head of the CFPB, failed. But maybe that was her plan.
When I see Sanders, I hear Billy Joel’s ‘Angry Young Man’. His ideas have aged even worse than he has.
Yang seems to be running a campaign to get tenure at the University of Laputa.
Buttigiet is gay, in case you forgot. Being gay is an attribute, not an accomplishment, and he has precious little of them. But you better vote for him, or you’ll be called a bigot! Well, I guess blacks will be called bigots then; if he’s the candidate Trump might get their vote.
Booker did even less as mayor than Buttigieg. He’s also corrupt, a dramatist, a liar, and a fabulist. We already have one in the White House; why trade him in for one of a different color?
Calamity Harris looked to be the perfect diversity candidate until she opened her mouth and hems, haws, and blather came out. Her keeping inmates jailed after their time was served really burnt me up. Thanks, Tulsi, for reminding us of that!
Gabbard’s best attribute is she speaks her mind (when angry, that is; the rest of the time she parses and blathers with the best of them). Her worst attribute is she speaks her mind. That’s why she won’t be the candidate. Can’t pick your fights with the powers-that-be.

Some of the others might do better as President than this crew. But not if they support the same positions as those I’ve mentioned.
