As many Samoyed fanciers know, the top winning Samoyed showdog of 2010 was Riker. Riker was named, of course, after Commander William Riker first officer of the starship Enterprise from the television series Star Trek: the Next Generation. Part of having a top show dog is promotion. Recently, Riker’s owner took him to a Star Trek convention and snagged a picture of him with Jonathan Frakes who played Will Riker in the TV show.
So, here they are. Riker and Riker.
This picture came to me in a newsletter I received and I thought I’d pass it along.
My word but Frakes has gotten old. Then again, I’m a dozen years older than Frakes was when ST:TNG debuted.
