I have seen or heard nothing over the last 72 hours that convinces me that Donald Trump is anything but a repellent lout and blowhard and I can’t imagine circumstances under which I’d vote for him. So, nothing has changed.

“….that convinces me that Donald Trump is anything but a repellent lout and blowhard and I can’t imagine circumstances under which I’d vote for him. ”
Resolved: a repellant lout and blowhard.
However, it didn’t take long for the quotes and tapes to hit the Internet, whether Hillary’s anti Semitic or disparaging mentally handicapped remarks, Nixons homosexual slurs, Obama using the “p and n words,” LBJ telling anal sex jokes etc. And we haven’t even touched Kennedy and Clinton using their position to bang everything in sight. How about something repellant like blaming terrorist attacks on YouTube videos or pardoning gun dealers with uncomfortable knowledge?
The fact of the matter is that wide swaths of the population say disgusting things, especially in private. And not just politicians, but sports stars, those preening Hollywood types, businesspeople and Average Joes and so on. Visit a steel mill some time. And I hope everyone is sitting down; women can talk crap with the best of them.
Trump is a lewd and crude person, as were his comments. But reading some of the commentary recently I can only say I wish I had the diaper concession for anyone expressing other than faux outrage. The standard being put forth in public discourse would leave one with a political candidate pool probably 10% the current one, which is incredibly thin the way it is, and would most certainly eliminate Trumps opponent. Call me crazy, but I’m much more concerned with a candidate and their respect for the rule of law than stunted adolescent sexual fantasies.
I haven’t seen or heard of anything Trump has said or done which hadn’t already been done by Bill Clinton and defended by Hillary. Not to mention she’s called any woman that dared accuse Bill of anything untoward every name in the book. So that’s a tie, at best. Besides, what are we worried about, that The Donald will spooge on some intern’s face in the Oval Office? Let’s just hope he has better aim than President Blythe did.
Well my friend, then I suppose you’re ready for Hillary.
it does seem to me that the two of us have been here before, when you supported Barack Hussein Obama in 2008.
That’s certainly your right, but I think it was a mistake, just like I feel your writing off of Donald Trump is a mistake. But again, it’s certainly your call.
I assume you’re not going to take refuge in voting for Gary Johnson or not voting. We both know that either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton will be president, and this is the multiple choice part of the exam, so think about it.
Take care, OK?
May i comment that my take on issues is that Trump wants to build a wall. Clinton says her dream is a western hemisphere with open borders and unrestricted trade ( wikileaks). Is this not as diametrically opposed as you can get?
What will Clinton’s dream get us ? Subterranean rule by drug cartels?
Is anyone here ready to say that the rest of the world can be as we are if only we drop the borders?
I want to protect my own. I’m sure Mrs. Clinton has.
That may be her dream, but it is not in her policy proposals. Probably not doable for a couple hundred years.
Steve
The election is a mess. However, it seems people care more about lewd words than corrupt, unethical actions.
“corrupt, unethical actions.”
Trump has those two. He is a twofer.
