I just love this picture of the leaders assembled for the meeting of the G20 countries. It tells you everything you need to know.
One of these things is not like the others.
What do you derive from the photo, Dave?
The real issue that needs to be addressed isn’t China or Russia or India. Or North Korea. Or the United States for that matter. It’s Germany.
There’s plenty wrong from a photographic sense.
The left side back rows has some gaps. And a gap between Trudeau/Modi/LeGarde.
On the front row, left side, is one extra person where Trump / Macron is. The row should have ended where Trump is. I don’t know who the extra person but I assume the photographer would have told that person to go top right but apparently the extra person needed be in the front row.
After the infamous handshake and now this photo – I have a feeling the Bastille day parade that Trump and Macron will observe is going to be far more entertaining than it ought to be.
One of those “statesmen” — loosely defined — has a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry, rather than law or politics or management, and thus is clearly incapable of representing her nation on the world stage. This would NEVER be allowed in the English-speaking world.
As much as I may dislike acknowledging cold, hard realities about my breathren, physical chemists have their own set of limitations, biases……….
