I honestly don’t understand the mindset. But “progressives†seem to have a narrow focus on NYC, LA, SF, Chi and Wash DC to the exclusion of huge swaths of the country. (Even the Detroit’s and Phillys seem to be barely tolerated stepchildren). It’s a combination of myopia, irresponsibility and self destruction.
