I’m not watching the Republican National Convention, either. Based on the captions of the reaction pieces I’m seeing (you can hardly miss them), they might as well have been written six months or a year ago, dusted off, and filed this morning.
It must be easy to be a columnist for the New York Times or the Washington Post these days. All you need is a thesaurus.
Well, I did watch the RNC Convention last night, fully expecting to give it a brief look-see, and then move on to something else. While the beginning proved to be entertaining, the speeches from the “nobodies†of America (a term used by Jennifer Rubin) were real and relatable. I actually learned some positive details about policies the media either had dismissed or didn’t cover at all.
As time goes by, with the help of events like last night, the pollution of media misconduct and bias is clearing, creating a more accurate picture of what this administration has really accomplished, in a relatively short amount of time – especially compared to Biden’s lengthy 47 years of doing what?
‘Based on the captions of the reaction pieces I’m seeing (you can hardly miss them), they might as well have been written six months or a year ago, dusted off, and filed this morning.’
You mean they plagiarized their own work? Easy to do, just cut and past and edit as needed. Or maybe there’s a whole litany of boilerplate outrage pieces out there that one can download and alter to fit the current narrative. However after the fifteenth iteration of OMB is virtually Mr. H (again) the whole outrage thing becomes a boy cries wolf situation.
I saw Hershal Walker’s’ endorsement of Trump. You should watch it. Or you could just say the brother stepped out of line.
I’ve read a bit about it. FWIW I don’t think that Trump is a racist by conventional definitions. By the definition that some are using nowadays all whites are racists.
The term “racist†is abused and highly misused, as is the label “white privilege.†Societal wounds don’t heal if they are continually poked and reinfected with animus. But, that’s what the democrat party perpetuates by maliciously throwing such accusations around when it suits a political purpose.
As for Trump, his history is full of color blind incidents and relationships. People he dated, hung out with, charities he supported, employees he hired, was a diverse group. His golf club opened up membership to everyone – an inclusive act that was a “first†for that particular snobbish Palm Beach community. This innate absence of racist behavior, though, also makes it easy for him to openly question, criticize or even mock somebody of color based on something he saw was lacking in their performance, not because of a color bias.
The second night is more amazing than the first night…so far. Don’t bash it if you don’t watch it.
