NDI’s and winning the intelligence war

Mark Safranski of Zenpundit has a substantial post up on needs, ways, and means for the new National Intelligence Director.

I’ve already expressed my opinion on the direction of intelligence in this country. I haven’t seen much since that post to change my mind. One small observation I want to make is that for quite some time our wars have been won and lost by non-coms. I see no reason to believe that it’s any different in intelligence. Right now we have the wrong non-coms with the wrong culture and it won’t make a great deal of difference who the general is.
