Dave, this is the first inauguration I have watched and was quite impressed as it set a theme for the future that we may judge and as well reminded us of history. No problem in missing it live but you might want to review some highlights.
My reasons for avoiding it were multiple. Not the least was not wanting to hear a semi-articulate inauguration address accompanied by the eyerolling of media commentators.
Not a mistake. It will get dissected endlessly anyway. I do have a question that you or one of the conservatives can explain ie the drill baby drill thing. The current cost of oil is close to the average post-1970 and OPEC. We are currently producing record amounts of oil and gas. 2/3 of our oil comes from fracking which on average costs about $55 a barrel to produce, $20-$30 for conventional.
So put that all together and assume the oil companies want to make a profit. Why would they suddenly want to start producing a lot more oil? Are we expecting to drastically cut production costs? Is there a lot of unmet demand somewhere?

Thanks for that.

You and I both missed Melania looking sharp and stunning in her American tailored suit and hat. She wears clothes well.
I didn’t think much of her outfit. This was my immediate reaction:

Didn’t occur to me, but she could supply her husband in a pinch.
