Lying to Congress under oath should have serious consequences. When perjury is treated with a wink and a nod while lying to the FBI when not under oath is treated as a serious crime it is itself abuse of power. We need to decide under what conditions lying is an offense and adhere to those standards. Otherwise perjury becomes merely a political offense.
