I’ve been running into some recurring motifs that I hope receive less attention.
1. Anti-white racist attacks
I believe that these attacks take place. In a country of 330 million people there will always be some angry, crazy people. I do not believe we have a systematic problem of violent anti-white racism and no good will come of stories that make it seem as though we do.
2. Use of deadly force by police
I believe that police use deadly force. I believe that deadly force is used by police disproportionately against blacks. I believe that there are some, maybe even many racist cops. I also believe that there is a serious problem of crime in black urban neighborhoods and if anything the use of deadly force by police against blacks is actually disproportionately low relative to apprehensions. That’s what the statistics say, anyway. No good will come of treating every use of deadly force by police officers as though it were police hunting blacks.
3. The Koch brothers
Are you as tired of stories about the Koch brothers as I am? Targeting your political enemies for adverse coverage as journalists certainly seem to be doing is unbecoming to say the least. I don’t think the Kochs are really that important in the scheme of things.
4. The Clintons
Give it a rest, already.
Not sure what you are reading, but in my world the attacks on Soros occur at least as frequently as on the Kochs. I wish that they would both go away. These people simply don’t have enough time in the day to do everything of which they are accused.
No Clinton has held public office for 6 years. I am kind of curious, in a sick kind of way, to see how long the GOP successfully strings it out. It really seems as though the GOP faithful think she left office just yesterday.

“I believe that deadly force is used by police disproportionately against blacks.”
“and if anything the use of deadly force by police against blacks is actually disproportionately low relative to apprehensions.”
????????????????
I don’t have the numbers at the tip of my tongue but I do know their general directionality. It sounds paradoxical but the number of uses of deadly force on blacks by police officers as a percentage of the total number of uses of deadly force by police officers is greater than 12% (the percentage of blacks in the U. S. population). The number of apprehensions of blacks by police officers as a percentage of the total number of apprehensions is much larger. Uses of deadly force per apprehension of blacks is lower than use of deadly force per apprehension of whites or, said more simply, police officers hesitate more to use force on blacks than on whites.
I don’t think we have a systematic anti-white race issue either. Maybe I don’t watch enough TV to see where that claim is made. In any event, I think the more relevant issue currently is the so called resistance movement, which appears to have gotten out of hand. Free speech is pretty much sacrosanct, as is the right of business owners to choose their patrons. No shoes, shirt or service is an obvious example. But basing it on political beliefs is at best unseemly.
I’m not sure where you are headed with the Clintons point. She and her supporters seem to be the ones continually inserting her into the dialogue. I know many will disagree, but at the end of the day I think the foundation will be understood to have been pure pay for play. Provable? Hard to say.
“Uses of deadly force per apprehension of blacks is lower than use of deadly force per apprehension of whites or, said more simply, police officers hesitate more to use force on blacks than on whites.”
In that Harvard study where the police self reported their use of force, they said they were 25% more likely to use force inappropriately with blacks (maybe minorities in general, can’t remember) than with whites.

Wish I could find the article, you just have to trust me, It was about 911 calls leading to police shooting a Black person way too often. Article referenced a situation where two White male golfers following a group of five female Black golfers led to an argument about speed of play, the White men called 911. No one was shot there, but please, please, don’t call the police over minor things. Tempers flare and things get out of hand fast.
#1 – Racism should be opposed no matter where it is. I do think there is a disconcerting belief by some that only white people (specifically American white people) are capable of racism. I’ve also noticed a substantial increase in people who, on social media and forums, tell me to “check” my white, male, or whatever privilege when they don’t like what I write – an annoying, shallow fallacy.
#2 Don’t know enough to comment.
#3 Yep, people come up with a lot of dumb reasons to explain political opponents.

I interpret this piece as no-comment on stupid politics, and now we just have to draw the line at the point where politics become stupid. I’m over there in the corner.
The Clintons are running in 2020. I can’t see how it’s possible to not talk about them.
