Insanity on Korea

I’m reading a number of people talking about a land invasion of North Korea. IMO nothing could be more insane. I hope that isn’t the way the wind is blowing.

As I’ve said before, we shouldn’t engage in preventive wave against North Korea but our response if attacked should be to eliminate the threat conclusively. That means a very large number of North Koreans would die.

Totally insane and military unworkable unless there are a LOT of other conditions in place. I’m going to assume the people suggesting this are the same sorts of uninformed policy “experts” and perfumed prince/princess.

A lot of South Koreans would also die. During the KoreanWar our bombings killed 20%-30% of the North Koreans. Wonder what percentage die this time?

The scary part is that those loons often have influence. And none of them ever considers that China and Russia might have interests or that they might participate on the North’s side.

We got into Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Afghanistan and most of Africa listening to them, so some sort of misadventure in Korea is possible.

Once our pitifully small professional infantry is used up, there will have to be a draft, assiming we still had positions on the Peninsula. I’m too old, but I have nephews who would be eligible. A checkout clerk at our local Krogers is scared to death for her nephew in Korea.

My son in law would likely have to go.

Have courage. Little rocket man with I C B M, s is even more unthinkable.

Are they talking about an initial land invasion, or a secondary operation (to secure nukes) after what would have been a horrific initial nuclear exchange. I’ve seen the latter talk, not the former. It struck me as suicide to go into radioactive zones.

Let’s hope the Chinese crank up the pressure immensely.

I’ve a great deal of confidence in the workings of American government and our splendid free press. I’m sure we can fight an all out nuclear war in Korea and keep Americans from finding out the number of casualties for years, even for decades.
