I Voted

Well, I voted this afternoon. Mostly to vote on the referenda but also to vote against Pritzker and several others.

The election judges told me that roughly 2/3s of those registered in the precinct had voted in person. When you add absentee and early voting I’m guessing that the total turnout will be something like 80%. That’s pretty high for a midterm election.

Looks like you are stuck with Pritzker again.

    My condolences.

DeSantis may have fundamentally changed the political landscape tonight.

The red wave washed away my computer so it was hard to find so late getting to comment here. Anyway, too early to be sure but I still think GOP now controls senate and house, but not by a lot. I am sure that DeSantis will now want o run for president but I have a hard time seeing Trump giving up and the fight will likely get ugly.

Also, as soon as the closer races finalize I expect claims of vote stealing to roll in. You know, the kinds Drew and jan like. Stuff like in every election where the moon aligns with Jupiter and Venus the GOP always wins so the Dems could not possibly have won.

    It looks like he’s running.
    Trump, I mean.
Will be so interesting to see how he plays it.
    Force that cannot be ignored.
