We are not presently producing enough weapons and ammunition to support the Ukrainians in their war against Russia. If we want them to be able to prevail in any sense including at this point just to survive, we must have more heavy industry and the energy production that goes along with it in this country. Simple as that.
If our relative priorities are to value a reduction in energy and industrial production in the United States over Ukraine, let’s just acknowledge that. Anything else is wishful thinking.
The neocons installed a paleo-nazi junta in Ukraine, and they have successfully prevented any negotiations for a cease fire. This war will continue until one side prevails outright, and imposes conditions. Russia is the likely winner, but we cannot preclude an American nuclear strike on Russian forces.
This war and the Western sanctions on Russia and China have precipitated a mass movement of the Global South into the Russian-China camp. Nineteen countries have applied to join BRICS: Saudi Arabi, Iran, Argentina, the United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Egypt, Bahrain and Indonesia, along with two nations from East Africa and one from West Africa.

The combined economies of BRICS is already larger than the G7, and the new members will greatly increase their lead.
The Ukraine war has triggered a truly world-historic set of changes. We are witnessing the collapse of Western hegemony, and the establishment of new hegemons. All due to the utter, mind-boggling stupidity of the neocons and their psychotic hatred of all things Russia. Our Ruling Caste are actual psychopaths, who are capable of any crime. For now they prefer pedophilia.
My understanding is the US and EU are implementing a plan to increase supply of ammunition shells; so the current projected need will be met by fall.
And the Russians are complaining of shell hunger as well — through they out fire Ukrainians by a multiple.
The issue is Russia gets a vote; and they are going full speed increasing their production as well….
My current take is the war is still escalating.
