As I was betwixt and between I heard an interesting analysis of the president’s speech on Syria featuring comments by Marc Lynch (Abu Aardvark) and George Lakoff. Lakoff did some phrase by phrase linguistic analysis of the speech, concluding that the president’s diction probably did more to un-sell his case than to sell it.
