R. J. Rummel’s blog, Democratic Peace, has become such a constant resource for me that I’ve sometimes had to forcibly prevent myself from just linking to every post. His most current post, for example, on the relationship (or lack of a relationship) between poverty and terrorism, revolution, or war is such a post. The ideas to which Democratic Peace is dedicated e.g. that democracies tend not to go to war with each other or kill their own people or starve their own people are such important ones that I’m glad someone is out there actively promoting them. That Dr. Rummel is an eminent scholar who has devoted his life to studying just such questions makes the resource that much better.
