Clinton’s Heedless Incompetence

There are any number of bons mots in Walter Shapiro’s Roll Call column in reaction to FBI Director James Comey’s statement of yesterday. For my money the best was this:

Fortunately for Hillary — but not the Democrats — heedless incompetence is not a federal crime. Comey’s cascade of carelessness is an indictment of a woman who is partly running for president on her ability to handle a 3 a.m. emergency phone call on a secure line. –

My opposition to Hillary Clinton predates all of her many scandals, real or imagined, by years. The woman is a serial bungler. Her every instinct is wrong and that’s intolerable in the president of the United States even when her opponent is a dangerous blowhard. I won’t vote for either one of them.

Yes, the problem with many of Clinton’s action is that they can only be explained by either incompetence or malfeasance. In either case it’s not good for her credibility. The email brouhaha is a perfect example.
