Catching my eye: morning A though Z

How about an all-female blogger rundown? Here’s what’s caught my eye this morning:

  • It’s raining Canadian Geese on The Anchoress.
  • Megan McArdle is blogging up a storm with posts on the trade imbalance, the Social Security Trust Fund, and this one on the budget deficit.
  • Venomous Kate raises her head just long enough to tell us she’s taking a hiatus for her health.
  • Not Exactly Rocket Science is targetting British news this week.
  • Pundita isn’t happy about the effects of patents on chapatis.
  • The Knowledge Problem makes a few observations about managing the risks of nuclear power plants.
  • Robin Burke of Winds of Change is on hiatus, too.
  • That’s the lot.

Catching my eye: morning A though Z

Here’s what’s caught my eye this morning:

    • Here’s an interesting quote from Café Babel:

The question, indeed the challenge, is not so much one of adapting Islam to our European society but of adapting our society to Islam.

    • Professor Brad DeLong does what he does best and gives MY a very clear explanation of
Property Rental Yields and Interest Rates.
    • Tyler Cowen of Marginal Revolution has an interesting China fact of the day.

To put things into further perspective per capita annual income in China is about $5,000. Despite its enormous population and impressive economic growth characterizing China as a great power is still wide of the mark.

    • The Diplomad concedes nothing. He demands a recount.
    • The back-and-forth between David Sirota and Matthew Yglesias on the DLC continues.

    That’s the lot.
