Here’s what’s caught my eye this morning:
- A Fistful of Euros is conducting the first European Weblog Awards. Go on over and nominate your favorite European blogs.
- Apparently we haven’t driven them off yet. Gary Becker responds to comments on the Becker-Posner blog.
- There’s a pair of good posts from the ubiquitous praktike over at Chez Nadezhda. The first is an interesting thought experiment on civil war in Iraq.
The second is an equally good post on America’s mixed mind on international institutions.- You probably should read Citizen Smash’s Open Letter to Pablo Paredes.
- If you’ve been wondering where Venomous Kate has been for the last few days she explains here.
- Contrasting views on Iraq: Juan Cole and Iraqipundit.
- Medpundit writes on utilitarian bioethics and the Dutch at Tech Central Station.
- Another Leftist critique of the War on Terror, this time from Oliver Willis. Unfortunately, I don’t see much of a blueprint for action here.
UPDATE: Josh Marshall addresses the same subject in a very interesting essay.
- Shrinkette continues her series on the use and mis-use of anti-depressants. There’s a guest appearance by a blogger too modest, self-effacing,
intelligent, and, well, you get the idea. That’s the lot.
