- I thought that continuing to wage war illegally without end with no achievable goals in Syria was wrong under Obama and I think it’s wrong under Trump.
- I thought that invading and occupying Afghanistan was foolish back in 2001. We would have been better off punishing the Taliban and coming to a modus vivendi with them. Whether that was possible 15 years ago or not, it’s impossible now. It’s like that old toy called “Chinese handcuffs”. The harder we pull the tighter it holds.
