And Now For Something Completely Different

Music sure to make you do a double take. I think this may be a sign of the Apocalypse.

Well, current country is just a derivative of rock and roll.
Look at the bright side, its not as kitschy as Politics of Dancing.

So pop open a Pabst and spin a couple Merle Haggard discs on the Victrola……

  • They call it “Franco-Country”.

Personally, I’ve been more into “Islamo-Country” recently, although Slavic-Country has its merits. Toe tapping music if I’ve ever heard it.

Modern country is just soft rock by people wearing cowboy hats. Not much good in the last 20-30 years. The older stuff is much better. Patsy was awesome. Hank Sr, almost all of Texas swing, Marty Robbins, etc. Even better is the good old Bluegrass and the old-time music tinged stuff, think Doc Watson. Some of the crossover people like Ronstadt were great. Doubt we get the great Southern rock bands like the Allman Brothers absent that country influence.

This couple is nice. Country songs about past country stars seem pretty common but nicely done. Need a song about trains, getting drunk, mother, dogs, etc.

At first I thought this was a mellow Cajun zydeco.
