When you’ve lost the New York Times… Here’s what the editors of the New York Times have to say about the Obama Administration’s new policy with respect to Syria:
The initial plan was dubious. The new one is hallucinatory…
characterizing the president’s plan as “incoherent”. Which is what quite a few people many of whom are not warmongers have been saying for several years. The president given his limited rhetorical repertory has routinely called those who disagreed with him vicious, fools, or insane, something that’s beginning to look like projection.
What if those who’ve criticized the president’s policies from time to time have been right? What if some of them are Democrats? Hillary Clinton has recently entered the lists as one of them. That’s a risky move but not for the reasons usually given. It’s risky because it threatens to divide Democrats into those who are loyal to Obama, those who are loyal to Clinton, and those who don’t care who the messenger is but recognize bad policies when they see them.
Have you heard Steve Kroft’s interview with Obama? I’ve only heard some of it, but it didn’t sound good.
