The Watcher’s Council has announced its picks for the most outstanding posts of the preceding week. The winner in the Council post category was Wolf Howling’s post, “”Republicans Ponder the Abyss”. Second place honors went to Soccer Dad for “George Bush Isolationist”, for which I voted. Tied for second place was Rhymes With Right’s, “Seattle Times Writer Defends Hitler’s Aggression!”.
The winning non-Council post was The Whited Sepulchre’s “Blog For Human Rights — May 15th, 2008”, which I also voted for. This photo essay should make you simultaneously thankful and angry. Second place honors went to Pundita’s “The William Ayers Plan To Turn America’s Schoolchildren Into Maoists and How Barack Obama Helped Him”. I’m glad to see other Council members are reading Pundita’s work. I was one of her early promoters. Tied for second place in the non-Council category was The Elder of Ziyon’s “Dow Jones: Israel Means Business”, a good illustration of how culture and capital investment make a difference.

Pundita did a very nice job. Ayers is not alone in trying to make radical left indoctrination a requirement to hold a teaching certificate – there is a broader “dispositions” movement attempting to take over accreditation boards, infiltrate state education bureaucracies and colleges of education.
