Don’t Criticize China

—it will be bad for the Olympics:

BEIJING, April 26 (UPI) — China should no longer be barraged with international criticism for its alleged human rights violations, the head of the International Olympic Committee says.

IOC President Jacques Rogge said the international community should cease all criticism of China, despite recent movement on the country’s part regarding talks with exiled Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, the Financial Times reported Saturday.

“You don’t obtain anything in China with a loud voice,” Rogge said of such efforts.

“It took us 200 years to evolve from the French Revolution. China started in 1949,” he added.

I think he’s wrong. Shame is one of the few things the Chinese regime responds to.

And if the IOC weren’t such self-absorbed, insulated infants they’d have realized the hornets’ nest they were stepping into when they gave the 2008 Olympics to Beijing.

  • Jacques Rogge is about as despicable a pig as the laboratory concocted spawn of Alexander Kolchak and Kenesaw Mountain Landis which I believe he is. Rogge, who was knighted by the Grand Inquisitor of Belgian Imperialism “King” Albert II, has one primary mission: helping divert the international class struggle into the mindless idiocy of nationalism. His special portfolio is, I believe, Minister of Sport for the Department of Diverting The International Proletariat Struggle.
