The Watcher’s Council has announced its picks for the most outstanding posts of the preceding week. The winning Council post was Joshuapundit’s post, “”If You Give A Mouse A Cookie”… Accommodating Islam”. Second place honors went to Bookworm Room for “The Wizard of Ooze”, a post on Barack Obama.
The winning non-Council post was The Brussels Journal’s “ Creating a European Indigenous People’s Movement”. I agree with the premise of the post—that the ethnically-based states of Europe are in a pickle, indeed, that’s been a recurrent theme here. It’s a pickle completely of their own creation and I don’t believe that an “Indigenous People’s Movement” will solve it Second place honors went to Boker tov, Boulder!’s “Your federal Government At Work… For Palestinians”. I have problems with the hostility towards the Palestinians that underlies this post. I encourage your to read Mark Daniels’s post, “Is Wright Wrong? Part 2”, an exploration of the Rev. Wright matter from the point of view of a Lutheran minister..
