The Council Has Spoken!

The Watcher’s Council has announced its picks for the most outstanding posts of the preceding week and, once again, the voting on Council posts is very tightly clustered with a three-way tie for second place (it would have been a four-way tie but for the Council’s penalty rules) and only 1/3 of a point separating the winning post from second place.

The winning Council post was newcomer AbbaGav’s post on the IDF’s home guard character, “They Aren’t What You’ve Been Told, They’re Our Neighbors’ Kids”. Second place honors went to Joshuapundit for “The Qana Strike…the Making of a Hezbo-Wood Production”, ShrinkWrapped for “Guilt vs. Shame”, and, somewhat to my surprise, my own post, “More on Doha”.

The winning non-Council post was Treppenwitz’s account of a lesson to be learned from a barfight which is being widely cited in the blogosphere these days, “A Difficult Lesson”. The second place non-Council post was Patterico’s Pontifications’s “L.A. Times Editors:  ‘We Just Can’t Solve the Mystery of Why That Muslim Guy Shot All Those Jews”.

For a complete list of the results see here.

If you’d like your own post to be considered by the Council next week, the instructions for doing so are here.
