Here’s what’s caught my eye this morning:
- The Euston Manifesto that Norm Geras posted about last week is beginning to draw some attention from the Left Blogosphere. TBogg mocks it. Duncan Black proclaims it wankery. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: this is the sort of thing that will get a lot more attention from the Right Blogosphere than from the Left. They really aren’t interested. Aziz is for it, of course. There’s the decent Left and the power-is-all kind. Marc Cooper is for it.
- Arms Control Wonk has some back-of-the-envelope calculations on how long it will take Iran to have a nuclear weapon. UPDATE: the Federation of American Scientists has a handy calculator that can be used to determine when Iran will have enough uranium to make a bomb.
- James Hamilton has noticed gas prices rising at the pump and explains it all to us.
- Megan McArdle rises to praise George Bush in his support for free trade, education, and foreign aid. Really. I wish I didn’t find it necessary to note that the Administration’s second-highest priority in the Doha round of trade talks (intellectual property law) didn’t even make it onto the agenda.
- There’s more to showing a profit from outsourcing to China than meets the eye. Hat tip: China Challenges
- Babalu notes that today is the anniversary of the Bay of Pigs invasion. 45 years ago today.

I agree with you, however….it’s likely to get more attention and appreciation from the Right than from the Left, being the reasonable, common sense document it is.
