The Longmont Times-Call of Longmont, Colorado has endorsed Mitt Romney for president:
Mitt Romney would bring a more balanced and realistic approach to national leadership than the government-centric philosophy advocated by Barack Obama. This nation, after all, was supposed to be a land where the government served the people who were free to pursue their dreams in private enterprise. Romney has worked in the private sector, as governor of Massachusetts, and as head of the 2002 Winter Olympics. Romney would bring to the presidency a professional background more in tune with what the country needs now in the area of job creation and management.
President Obama has offered four years of trillion dollar budget deficits, contributing at an ever-accelerating pace to the nation’s $16 trillion national debt. If not successfully addressed, young Americans and future generations will be held responsible for this debt, and it will threaten the quality of their lives and of their families. We can do better than this as a nation.
The Times-Call endorsed Barack Obama in 2008.
Mitt Romney began his governorship with a 61% approval rating and left office with a 31% approval rate, the third worst in the nation. Why endorse a candidate who fell into disfavor with the people he governed?
