This was the menu I prepared for our dinner this evening:
Grilled filet mignon
Pommes Anna
Baby fields greens salad
2002 Frog’s Leap Cabernet Savignon
I went to Swedish Bakery for our dessert: an assortment of (mostly chocolate) pastries.
I honestly don’t know why people don’t serve Pommes Anna with roasts or steaks more often. Easier (and IMO tastier) than scalloped. I’ll give you a recipe some time.
Mmmm. You know what a woman wants.
More to the point I know what my wife likes. Even more importantly before she arrived home from a conference in LA (the day before) I did the laundry, cleaned the bathrooms, vacuumed, and washed the kitchen floor.
