2005 Weblog Awards

The Glittering Eye has been selected as one of the finalists in the Best of the Top 1001 – 1750 Blogs category. It’s an extremely competitive category and some great blogs that were nominated didn’t make the finals. I’m particularly gratified to see that so many of the finalists in this category are centrist blogs.

I’d like to thank Kevin Aylward and his associates for hosting the awards and for nominating The Glittering Eye. It’s an honor to be nominated and making it into the finals is even better.

But it would be even better yet to win. I’m not above asking: vote for The Glittering Eye. The rules for voting are pretty simple:

  1. Voting starts tomorrow, December 5, 2005.
  2. You can vote at http://www.weblogawards.org. Click on the Finalist logo above to go there.
  3. Voting will go on between December 5, 2005 and December 15, 2005.
  4. You can vote once per day (24 hour period) per category.

Any other instructions will be over at the voting site.

So tomorrow bright and early go on over and vote for The Glittering Eye! As we say here in Chicago, vote early and vote often.

I’m composing a list of endorsements for the various categories. I hope to have it up later today. That post will stay at the top of my blog until the voting closes.
