The Council has spoken!

The Watcher’s Council has announced its selections for the posts of the last week most deserving of recognition. The winning Council post was Wallo World’s excellent post on Evangeline Lilly, star of the ABC TV show Lost and what it means to be a Christian, “Controversy, Christians, and Condemnation”. Here’s a sample:

“Back to Partible’s point about Lilly. Like many people, whether in Hollywood or not, she professes a belief in Christ while at the same time doing some stuff that doesn’t fit with what some people think she should be doing. Can we challenge or question her behavior? Sure. But can we – or should we – condemn her, or question whether she’s “really” a Christian? I think not.”

In second place was Right Wing Nut House’s post on the Miers nomination, “In George We Trust?”.

I don’t believe I’ve linked to too many scriptural exegeses here on The Glittering Eye. Read the first place non-Council winner, Waiter Rant’s fabulous “Legion”. In second place was La Shawn Barber’s “Insulation”.

The complete list of winners is here.
