Catching my eye: morning A through Z

Here’s what’s caught my eye this morning:

  • Remember Afghanistan? Afghan Warrior comments on the suicide attack against the Afghan National Army that killed 12 there yesterday.
  • Armchair Generalist reviews Jeanne Guillemin’s Biological Weapons.
  • The sensible John Cole of Balloon Juice defends (sort of) Biill Bennett. I agree with John almost completely. But is Bennett a total idiot? There was no way to say what he did without creating the flap he’s created. UPDATE: Brad DeLong does, too.
  • Beldar’s quick-takes on Roberts, Judith Miller, and DeLay are worth a glance.
  • Big Cat Chronicles can usually be expected to keep us up-to-date on issues with oil platforms and I found this post on the effects of Rita and Katrina interesting.
  • Chester has a rather thorough roundup and analysis of the Iraqi constitution that you should take a look at.
  • Now things get interesting. There’s a Reuters article reporting the avian flu is becoming resistant to Tamiflu. Hat tip: Rand Simberg.

That’s the lot.
