Here’s what’s caught my eye this morning:
- Since penguin-mania seems to be gripping everyone this summer, you might to take at look at the pictures that 75° South took when he visited the penguins. Hmmm. I didn’t know the Rolling Stones were giving a concert in Antarctica. Or that formal attire was required.
- Amba of AmbivaBlog has a thoughtful reaction to my post on the credibility of sources. And contributes a few resources of her own.
- Megan McArdle (“Jane Galt”) of Asymmetrical Information has a solid analysis of the likely outcomes of the price caps at the wholesale level that Hawaiian state politicians have just put into place. More on the subject from Lynne Kiesling Knowledge Problem
and Coyote Blog. Also, scroll up for Lynne’s great analysis of the relationship between gas prices and household income then and now. - Brad DeLong on CAFE standards, gas taxes, and what we should be doing. (And he drives an SUV. So does my wife. Shhhh.)
- The Belgrave Dispatch has a strong debunking of the flypaper theory with respect to Iraq. I haven’t cared for because it’s immoral (treating persons as means rather than ends).
