View From Taiwan

I’m a bit late to this party but you might find the interview above from France 24 of Chen Chien-Jen, Vice President of Taiwan and, coincidentally, an epidemiologist, as informative as I did. He quite discreet but the interview is quite damning of the WHO and mildly critical of China.

Says he definitely expects a second wave in the fall. Must have an agenda.

As to WHO, they have no right to work within a sovereign country unless that country grants them that right. They are reliant upon the host country to giver them information. However, if you read the contemporary reports, the full reports, they note many times that Covid had aspects of SARS and likely had human to human transmission. As early as Jan 10th they advised droplet and contact precautions.

If we want WHO to have the right and the ability to enter a sovereign country against its will we need to make WHO a much different organization.

What is sad is that we do have a large intelligence apparatus so we should have had the ability to know more about Covid much earlier than WHO.
