Unum

Can anyone identify for me a multi-cultural society in which one of the cultures does not dominate the others politically, socially, and economically? I can’t think of any.

Belgium and Switzerland must come pretty close.

  • In Switzerland not only does the German-speaking population dominate the others (French, Italian, and Romansch) politically, socially, and economically, the population that speaks Hochdeutsch dominates the population who speaks Schwyzerdütsch, who are looked down on as country bumpkins.

Despite being about the same size geographically and in terms of population Flanders is significantly wealthier than Wallonia with half the unemployment.

Not really possible given the realities of how humans organize socially.
