Under Construction

I have updated WordPress to the current version and doing so has introduced a problem with my old theme. While I update my old theme, I’ve switched to one of the WordPress default themes temporarily.

Pardon our dust!

Update

I’ve updated my old theme to its current version. Unfortunately, it’s going to take me a little time to get things looking the way I want them to. As I make modifications please leave your observations on the site’s aesthetics and readability.

    Running latest version of chrome

The Logo graphic is huge and takes most of the space on my 17″ laptop monitor. At the top of the pages there’s the blog title in a large font (link goes to the home page) and then two links to posts on the Chicago spay/neuter ordinance and your addition. If you shrink the browser, those two links go away and are replaced by a “Menu” link which opens a dynamic drop-down with links to thos two posts.

The fonts are more readable in my opinion. Not crazy about the red/pink in the sidebar and the lime green submit buttons.

  • The things that I’m working on are :

    1. Reducing the size of the header graphic
    2. The color scheme (particularly in the siderbar)
    3. The sidebar links which are goofed up
    4. Getting the blog name out of the top line of the header
    5. Getting the pages out of the the navigation menu in favor of putting links to them in the sidebar
    6. Correcting the links in the sidebar

    The favicon is missing.

  • Thanks. Got it.

    1. Still working on the header graphic.
    2. This is a better color scheme but I may tinker with it more.
    3. Fixed sidebar
    4. Fixed (temporarily)
    5. Still need to age pages to navigation menu
    6. Fixed.
    7. Replaced favicon.

FWIW, the readability has improved on my phone.

The Name and Email do not default to the last entries. I am using Google Chrome, but I could have something turned off or locked-down.
