The Tempo of the Week

There’s something about the tempo of the week that makes it difficult to get decent material for blog posts on Thursdays. This week it’s rendered all the worse by the endless encomia of Ted Kennedy. His death marks the end of an era. May he rest in peace.

The post I’d most like to finish up today is one on the global market for primary care physicians. If there’s one area of medicine in which the peculiar consequences of our system run headlong into a world labor market, that has got to be it. I’ve got a lot going today but I may be able to pound it into shape.
