The Second Presidential Debate, 2008

I listened to the second presidential debate last night and found it deadly dull—mostly a recitation of talking points and snippets from stump speeches. There was no dramatic moment and, since Sen. McCain really needed a dramatic moment, in that sense Sen. Obama won the debate.

Most telling to me was the gibberish both candidates were spouting about the current financial crisis. It just highlights the sad reality: nobody really knows what to do.
