The Watcher’s Council has announced its picks for the most outstanding posts of the preceding week. The winning Council post was Gates of Vienna’s comparison of crime rate in the United States and Europe, “Wild, Wild West(ern Europe)â€. There was a remarkable 5-way tie for second place honors with posts by Right Wing Nut House, Joshuapundit, New World Man, Done With Mirrors, and myself in a dead heat. I think that points less to a division of opinion among Council members than the general excellence of the Council submissions this week.
The winning non-Council post was Outside the Beltway’s amusing fisking of the Declaration of Independence. The second place non-Council post was Shape of Days’s post, “Sometimes Even the Good Ones Lose Their Wayâ€, a commentary on Congressman Jack Kingston.
