The Watcher’s Council has announced its picks for the most outstanding posts of the preceding week. The winner in the Council post category was Joshuapundit’s post, “The Chicken or the Egg?â€, on Islam and tribalism. Second place honors went to Wolf Howling for “Dear Pakistan”, for which I voted.
The winning non-Council post was American Thinker’s, “What Kind of War Crimes Trials Does Obama Plan? (Updated)”. I disagreed strongly with the premise of this post. The presidency looks a lot different when you’re sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office than when you’re making a stump speech on the campaign trail. If war crimes investigations of high-ranking Bush Administration officials are conducted at all it will be over the strong objections of whomever is sitting in that chair at the time. Second place honors went to Melanie Phillips’s “Wake Up and Smell the Soup!”, a post on Jews and Barack Obama.
