It’s a never-ending adventure here in Illinois. The latest example is that the janitorial service for the Thompson Center, the big state office building in downtown Chicago, has quit, reasonably enough, because they weren’t being paid. An emergency RFQ has gone out to try and find a replacement.
Meanwhile, the state employees in the Thompson Center have been asked to start packing their own trash out of the building for the duration. Like backpacking—you pack it in, then you pack it out.
Are you sure the janitorial service isn’t just pissed at the increased workload of picking up discarded lottery tickets……..?
