True or false? In reference to the “Ferguson hoopla”:

It’s about the base. And it’s not about the Democratic Party’s base, but about certain leaders’ base within the Democratic Party. This may be best understood as an intra-party struggle. Obama is the champion of the urban-black wing of the party, and because of him that wing has been on top. But his star is fading, black voters are beginning to realize that they haven’t benefited economically, and the next Dem nominee — whether it’s Hillary Clinton, Jim Webb, or Elizabeth Warren — will be from the white gentry-liberal wing of the Democratic Party. The riots, the marches, the traffic-blocking are a way of telling them that the Sharpton wing is still a force to be reckoned with, and to improve its bargaining power between now and 2016. At least, that’s the only way this — not at all spontaneous — street theater makes sense.

I have a problem with it on a number of grounds. First, while Barack Obama may be the hero of the “urban-black wing” of the Democratic Party, I don’t think he’s in any way its champion. The figures really don’t lie on that subject.

But just as significantly I’m not sure there is a “white gentry-liberal wing” of the party. I think there’s a multi-racial gentry-liberal wing of the party whose members have much more in common with each other than they do with most other Americans.

I realize I’m treading on thin ice here but I’ve never believed that President Obama was an Afro-American, to deploy the useful term coined by the sociologist Charle Moskas, by which he meant Americans of sub-Saharan African descent who were the descendants of slaves. I don’t think he’s had in any way the same experience as they have and I find that any assertion that he has smacks of the “one drop” rule. I think it’s racist.

I also think that Barack Obama is actually the champion of the gentry-liberal wing of the Democratic Party is just incontrovertible. Go back and look at the statistics.

Maybe it’s just a weak choice of words on Glenn’s part but I would give his statement three Pinocchios.

It is the last hurrah. The progressives – young & old, black & white – can sense victory is at hand. As they did with politics in 2012, they feel that they have the numbers on their side, and they intend to press the charge. Numbers lie.

Being young and foolish or old and foolish, they do not realise that you need to consolidate your gains. If the vanguard outruns the supply train, it will be cut off, and you will be surrounded and destroyed.

There will be another round of white flight, and the millennial generation will need to make a choice. Do they move into their parents new basement, or do they move into Ferguson?

The black leaders have yet not realized that the millennial generation is more comfortable around large numbers of white racists than large numbers of blacks. The millennial generation is not moving into burned down neighborhoods, but they will help the locals burn them down.

The poor people will get screwed, but if a few poor black communities are burned down so white liberals can feel better, so be it.

    What a wonderful world.

    This:

I think there’s a multi-racial gentry-liberal wing of the party whose members have much more in common with each other than they do with most other Americans.

    and this:

I also think that Barack Obama is actually the champion of the gentry-liberal wing of the Democratic Party is just incontrovertible.

Are what I’ve been getting at for the last six or seven years. It all seems painfully obvious if you ignore Obama’s melanin and just listen to him speak, especially off the cuff. Take this infamous example:

You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton Administration, and the Bush Administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. [One can now add the Obama Administration to that list – …] And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.

That’s not the comment of a inner-city raised black activist, or of a black man from the South, or even one from the suburbs. That’s pure snotty white intellectual. But still we must endure the nonsense of Obama being cast as the first African-American President.

I would choose the word convenient, but that’s just me.

What’s interesting to me about polls like this: Majority of Blacks View Economy is Good, isn’t how at odds it is with Black economic numbers — I think it’s completely understandable that Blacks are vested in not viewing Obama as a failure. What’s interesting is what happens next? Do those numbers drop like a turkey from a helicopter after the next Inauguration Day? Does it matter who is elected?

    PD,

I’m skeptical. The poll was 1000 adults – I wonder how many were black and if their demographic is representative.

“The poor people will get screwed, but if a few poor black communities are burned down so white liberals can feel better, so be it.”

Tasty, I picked out those two excerpts, as they were so applicable, in my mind, to what will be the results of this latest racially charged incident.

I thought I had calmed down, but these rich white liberal asswipes still have me pissed off. I believe that conservatives are insensitive and ignorant about poverty and racial issues, but through education and humanity, they can be overcome. Some conservatives are racists, but most are not. Some liberals are racists, and I have meet a few.

The ones I know love President Obama, but still do not like most blacks. The reason is that he is not like them. They all live in areas that have a high percentage of blacks. They all hate Bush, Republicans, conservatives, the Tea Party, Wall Street, religious people, etc.

I rarely see them, but in standard liberal racial dogma, they have a twisted logic. The blacks they encounter do not count as oppressed. These blacks deserve any ill treatment. This is how they justify their racism. It is bizarre listening to them.

In the past, I have had friends who were racists. As the racism begins to come out, you try to reason with them. A racist will use logic to try to justify his beliefs, and at some point, the superiority of the white race will come out. For me, whatever is left of the friendship is over at that point. If it is a family member, you are stuck, but you are never going to reason them out of racism.

I have never encountered a racist who hates any white people based upon the color of their skin. To a racist, there is no white person who is worse than a black person. It does not matter how bad the white person is. They can be redeemed, and there will be flaws in the best black person.

The racists I encountered were not living among black people. They were in mostly white areas, and they did not have a lot of contact with black people. I probably could have dug into the reasons why they thought the way the did, but frankly, I did not have enough time for them.

Because of the racism fetish, they are probably impossible to find today, but the racist liberals are fascinating. I believe that most rich white liberal asswipes would be the same if they had to live around too many black people.

To rich white liberal asswipes, black people are a means to an end. They are not humans with feelings. They can be used as needed for the rich white liberal asswipe to achieve whatever goal they want. Racist is a vile and disgusting word, but I do not know what else to use. They are filthy animals.

    I better stop.
