More Outrage Fatigue

There’s remarkably little to comment on again. I think the major media outlets have outrage fatigue.

  • I think it’s mostly that we’re coming off of what was mostly a long holiday weekend for a lot of people, and certainly for Washington. Not much going on in the news unless you want to join in and write another speculative piece about who might win on tonight’s episode of “The Apprentice: Supreme Court Edition.”

Things should pick up soon enough. Especially with Trump headed to Europe and lord only knows what will happen at the NATO summit, during his trip to the U.K. and his meeting next Monday with his boss….. I mean the President of Russia.

Yeah, when the Pols take vaca the news slows down. Outrage and confrontation haven’t hurt the Prez, in the polls or personally. They keep forgetting, He likes it! Confrontation in the south China sea, who’ll blink? Neither side wants war, trade or otherwise. Media waits breathlessly for a white cop to shoot a Black Man, anywhere, for any reason. Same old, same old.

Wonder if the outrage people will mention Myra Selby if Amy Barrett is chosen? Who is that you ask? She was nominated for the judge position Barrett currently holds in January 2016. McConnell sat on it a whole year, even longer than for Garland.

  • FWIW the latest word is that Barrett is out and its down to either Kavanaugh or Hardiman

  • Appointing one of them will certainly stir the pot less than appointing Barrett would have.

    TDS on full display.

    Professionally embarrassing.

Not surprising then since Washington is the epicenter for the outrage. I’m seeing hardly any at all in my travels around the country except for the TV and internet.
