Over at Fiscal Times there’s a list of movies to watch on the Fourth of July. He lost me at his very first selection, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. He obviously doesn’t understand the movie or has never watched it from beginning to end. It’s neither a “feel good” picture nor does it salute the American system. It’s a tragedy.
I support some of his selections (The Patriot, The Best Years of Our Lives), others are just summer blockbusters (Star Wars, Jaws).
