@Andy
The Ebola outbreak isn’t new unfortunately – just getting bad enough to get some worldwide attention.
Actually, there were two additional cases, but they were Americans.
As with the Nigerian girls, this will quickly fade away. Black people are abstract objects used for political gain. The actual black folks are of no value.
Good news, Schuler, the actuarial reports you’ve been anxiously awaiting are out. It seems they took so long because it took that long to manufacture good news.
Not disagreeing about African problems getting short shrift, but Ebola will fade away mainly because it is, evolutionarily speaking, a really foolish virus. Incredibly high mortality rate, and inefficient means of transmission. It’s a horrifying illness but the likelihood of it becoming a pandemic is about as high as the chances of peace breaking out in the Mideast.
That’s not true.
There’s now an ebola outbreak in Africa.
See? That’s an entirely new problem.

Hate to say it Dave, but I think problems grew worse over the last three days.

We tried. Wrote nasty letters to Putin, Syria, Libya, Israel, Hamas and a whole bunch of people. They were all ignored.

CStanley,
Agree – Ebola is minor compared to famine and various forms of murder, both caused by humans and not microbes.
