People ask what I miss least about Chicago and I always say “the combination of large dog and snow in the backyard.” We have a 110 lb yellow lab, Goofy, who poops his own weight every day. Goofy would do his thing and the warm product would melt six inches down into the snow and then freeze. Several times during the Chicago winter I’d find myself in the yard, baggies over my hands, chipping frozen dog turds out of the ice while a bitter wind froze the sullen curses on my lips.
On the other hand, Chicago has Charlie Trotter and Grant Achatz and Rick Tramonto.
