When I read the slug on this op-ed at the New York Times, I was rather amused at their choice of words:
The North’s Olympic cheerleaders continue a practice of using pretty young women to represent Pyongyang. Why does South Korea embrace them?
Why the heck do you think? Who’s editing the NYT these days, anyway?
You can use pretty women to sell stuff? Who knew? Those crafty North Korean devils.

Gloria Steinham. Although in looking at the pics I was struck at how obviously virtuous and erudite they looked………
If things have gotten to the point at which people think there’s something wrong with men being attracted to pretty girls, feminism has lost the war.
