Catching my eye: morning A through Z

A few things have caught my eye this morning:

  • Amba of Ambivablog has a lovely post on the “first, transitional distance”
  • Blake Hounsell, the blogger formerly known as the formerly ubiquitous Praktike, is now posting at Foreign Policy and has a quick take on the things the ISG report is not.
  • Counterterrorism Blog has a report on the advanced state of Syria’s nuclear program.  Cheery thought.
  • This is a little too Illuminati for me.  Tigerhawk says that Stratfor is reporting there’s a second, real ISG report.

  • I’m not surprised by a Syrian nuke program. Back in the ’80s, a walk-in to my office had a map of yellow cake resources to be found in the country. They weren’t as extensive as those found elsewhere, but they weren’t negligible, either.
