I’ve got a long busy day ahead of me today. My Samoyed club is hosting a specialty show in conjunction with the International Kennel Club Show down at McCormick Place, I’m helping to set up and run the show, and that will keep me busy for a good deal of the day. After the show my wife and I have an opera to attend: Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo, considered by many to be the very first opera. The bad news is that it’s not my favorite work; the good news is that it’s quite short—roughly an hour and a half.
Somewhere in between all of this I’ll be exercising and pottying dogs, running back and forth between home and the show, and changing clothes a couple of times.
